A preview of our latest developments using IP.Board 3.2. It has taken longer than expected to design the latest new look for Echelon Designers, mainly because of the brand new navigation system we are implementing. It is tied in to IPB very tightly, and changes accordingly to usergroups - so guests see less than members, which cuts down our server resources when spiders are crawling pages of data.

Many of the new SEO tweaks we have also added on here already, even though we are currently using 3.1.x - these tweaks seemed to have paid off by increasing our 'Web Grade' to '99'. Once we bring 3.2 online we are hoping to reach '100'. Just out of curiosity when we were using vBulletin 4 with vBSEO, the highest we got our Web Grade was '97', and many people worry about IP.Board and SEO (don't be, we have proved in many ways that IP.Board is a far superior product on it's own).

This time round we have made major changes to the skin, we have completely removed the IP.Board navigation, moved other links and images, improved the overall SEO far beyond what we have available on here and allocated new areas for some additional material. Due to the extent of the changes, it will probably take a day for us to upgrade and apply all the various new template and CSS changes, along with some additional PHP code.

You will notice we have a new "User Area" menu in our new design, this will be coded so only members can see and use it, there are other menus but these are already coded for Admin/Mod users only. The preview below is just a general look at the new layout and is likely to change before we go 'live'.

Due to the way pages load data, we have moved any external javascript calls in to a new footer area, this resides below the Invision copyright. Any external js calls that fail from server or network issues can cause problems with pages taking longer to load, therefore it is more logical to allow these to load last.
