Hi, I've had to flash my Bush TR2015 wi-fi radio with new firmware, which appears to have done a 'factory reset' and wiped out the security key to my wi-fi network. Normally i'm quite orderly and have a place for everything and everything in its place, but i cannot find my wi-fi security key anywhere.
Presuming i can just get it off my router i typed http://www.routerlogin.net into my browser (as advised by the router set up guide) and this took me to the log-in window. I entered user and password details as given on the router itself (U=admin P=password)
All that happens is that i go to back to the log-in window where a message says the router is asking for the user and password details, and quotes WGR614. No matter whether i try http://www.routerlogin.net or http://www.routerlogin.com, or what IP address i try, http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 i just keep coming back to the same log-in window.
Considering the dopey mistake i made last time i consulted this forum, -yes i have ensured that i have entered the log-in details correctly -no case switching etc!
It seems that a factory re-set may be the next thing to try, but before i do, does anyone have any other tips to try, and if not, does anyone know if the security key (set by the router in the first place) will remain the same after factory reset? I don't want to be poncing around changing the log-in key on my other wi-fi devices if i can help it.
I have only tried signing in from my Prime computer, and do have up to two other, older, computers that i can try from. I read somewhere this morning, that too many DNS requests from 1 computer can lead to it being blocked as a possible threat. I don't know if that could apply in this case, but can find out when i get home tonight.
The router is working fine, and i have a Netgear switch working off one of the ports, which is also working fine. I just need the security key for the wi-fi.
The 'line' of connection is; Ntl modem, Netgear router, Netgear switch, Main PC.
All have recently been properly switched off and re-started one by one, following a change to the wiring of my network. My PC runs XP home, SP3, and i am behind Kaspersky security.
I think that's all the info i need to supply!
Thanks,
ttb
